"And then, and then, I asked her for a little glass of water!" laughed Discord sending the showmare into another fit of hysterics while Chrysalis and Sombra abruptly stopped snarling at each other "That would be me." the Changeling told the grey pegasus "This way please." she said "One question though." said Chrysalis "Yes?" asked Derpy "This won't involve my mind being magically altered in any way will it?" "Oh no no no, we'd never do that, here at Reformation Co, all reformations are 100% geniuine." she said with a smile. Chyrsalis nodded slowly "Very well."
Even the creators of the show don't want to redeem every villain. Gilda is an example of this, where her jealousy and her refusal to be seen as someone that is uncool makes her leave in a rage rather than think "okay, i'm just taking this a bit too far." By not redeeming everyone, they're saying "even in this nearly utopian world, not everyone is going to be able to have a change of heart. Some people(Diamond Tara for example) hurt others and keep on hurting and that's just who they are, and sometimes they can't be influenced for the better. However, with other people (Babs Seed for example), some can see the errors of their ways and better themselves." The reason this is, is because if at least one bully can redeem themselves before it's too late, someone else in the real world can see themselves and realize that it isn't too late to undo their mistakes. This also says that when you are in the place of Applebloom, Diamond Tiara will always exist, and unfortunately, she's not going to be letting up any time soon, no matter how many friendship lessons she gets.
those two are soiled rotten I doubt they will ever change do to them being minor antagonists, as for gilda she's kind of uncertain a lot of fans want her to come back like trixie but there is no telling what they will do with her, if she dose make an appearance in the future I'm hoping it will be a good one and I have a little faith that they will after seeing how they made equestria girls enjoyable
If that was in response to my comment, he may have employed dark tactics but he was less of a Knight of Cerberus (a.k.a. less dark) than Chrysalis and Sombra. But he was also a fun guy to have around, he'd be quite likeable if he wasn't evil. And now that he isn't evil anymore, we can look forward to seeing more of him. And maybe Pinkie will have him bring back chocolate rain
Chrysalis and Sombra seem too dark to turn good, they're Knights of Cerberus (really dark villains appearing in shows that usually have lighter storylines). Sombra's dead, Chrysalis might be but we're not sure and she could return. The only Knights of Cerberus I've seen turn good are Shadow (who only got that status by his first appearance and tragic backstory making his games darker rather than his actions themselves) and Beelzemon (who again had a tragic backstory and only became that evil by extreme hunger and addiction for power). Shadow Queen, Dimentio, Black Doom, Mephiles, Hunter J, Cyrus, Beckett, Ghirahim, D-Reaper, Horned King, Maleficent, Monkey Fist, Myotismon, Sykes, Tirek, Yami Marik, all dead.
